Intellectual Property Rights

MastiffMode LLC ("MastiffMode") retains ownership of all intellectual property created by, contained in, or delivered through the MastiffMode platform, including but not limited to:

1. Curriculum and Educational Materials

1.1 Protected Materials

MastiffMode owns and protects the following original educational materials:

Lesson Text: Original written instruction and explanations in each Academy module
Assessment Questions: Quiz questions, "Try It" check questions, and exam materials
Answer Explanations: Original written explanations for correct and incorrect answers
Labs and Exercises: Interactive practice exercises and scenarios
Case Studies and Examples: Original trading scenarios and illustrative examples
Concept Maps: Original organizational structures and relationships between concepts
Glossary Definitions: MastiffMode-authored definitions and explanations
Illustrations and Diagrams: Original artwork, charts, and visual explanations
Video Content: Any recorded instructional videos or demonstrations
Learning Sequences: The original arrangement and progression of lessons and modules
Mentor Training Materials: Original mentor curriculum and training content
Assessment Rubrics: Original grading criteria and evaluation frameworks

All of these materials are original intellectual property of MastiffMode, whether created directly by MastiffMode team members, with AI assistance, or under contract.

1.2 What Is Not Protected

MastiffMode does not claim copyright ownership over:

General Knowledge: Fundamental trading concepts, risk-management principles, market structures, or established trading practices
Factual Information: Factual data about markets, regulatory requirements, or established financial principles
Ideas and Methods: General trading strategies, frameworks, or methodologies that are not expressed in original form
Public Domain Content: Information already in the public domain
User Contributions: Original content created by users and stored in MastiffMode (see User Content section below)

MastiffMode protects its original expression of these concepts, not the underlying ideas themselves.

2. Software and Technology

2.1 MastiffMode Platform Software

MastiffMode owns all rights to:

MastiffMode application code (frontend and backend)
Database schema and structures
APIs and integrations
User interface design and elements
Technical documentation
Development frameworks and libraries (as original to MastiffMode)

You are granted a limited license to use the MastiffMode platform for personal trader development only. You may not:

Copy, modify, or create derivative versions of the platform
Reverse engineer or decompile the software
Extract or harvest code, algorithms, or system designs
Use the platform's code or design to build competing products

2.2 AI-Assisted Development

MastiffMode was developed with AI assistance. MastiffMode acknowledges that some portions of the platform were generated or assisted by AI systems. However:

MastiffMode has reviewed, selected, modified, and approved all platform code and content
MastiffMode takes responsibility for all functionality and content delivered to users
MastiffMode's intellectual property protections apply to the approved, delivered platform
MastiffMode does not claim that every line of code is independently human-authored if it has been AI-assisted

Users do not gain the right to reverse engineer, extract, or repurpose platform code based on AI assistance in development.

3. Brand and Trademarks

3.1 MastiffMode Brand

MastiffMode™ and associated brand elements are protected trademarks of MastiffMode LLC. You may not:

Use the MastiffMode name without authorization
Modify or alter the MastiffMode logo or branding
Use MastiffMode branding in a way that suggests endorsement you don't have
Claim affiliation with MastiffMode
Domain-squat or create confusion with MastiffMode branding

The MastiffMode mastiff mark (🐾) is a protected trademark element.

3.2 Curriculum Titles and Branding

"Trader Development Curriculum," "Academy," "Alpha Path," and related curriculum titles are associated with MastiffMode's brand. Do not:

Claim curriculum names as your own
Create competing curricula using similar names
Suggest curriculum materials are from other sources

4. User Content Ownership

4.1 Your Content Remains Yours

You retain ownership of content you create and store in MastiffMode, including:

Trading records and journals
Screenshots and uploaded evidence
Psychology and development notes
Strategy documentation
Personal reflections and observations

MastiffMode does not claim ownership of your content.

4.2 License to MastiffMode

By storing content in MastiffMode, you grant MastiffMode a limited license to:

Host, store, and back up your content
Display your content within your account
Share your content with authorized mentors (as permitted by your relationship)
Process and analyze your content to provide Service features and improvements
Use anonymized, aggregated analytics from your content to improve the Service

You retain the right to delete your content at any time.

4.3 No Commercial Use of Your Content

MastiffMode will not:

Sell or commercially exploit your personal trading records or journal entries
Publicly display your trades or strategy without permission
Use your name or profile in marketing without consent
Create public leaderboards or rankings displaying your data without consent
Share your psychology records with third parties

5. Mentor Content and Feedback

5.1 Mentor Feedback Ownership

Feedback provided by mentors in MastiffMode:

Remains the joint property of the mentor and mentee relationship
Is stored in your account and accessible to you
Is not proprietary to the mentor personally
Mentor cannot restrict your access to feedback they have provided

5.2 Mentor Restrictions

Upon termination of a mentor relationship:

The mentor loses access to your records
The mentor may not export, retain, or further use your data (except with written consent)
Historical feedback remains in your account
The mentor may not claim ownership of your strategy or trading records

6. Third-Party Content and Attribution

Where MastiffMode uses third-party:

Educational research or studies (cited with attribution)
Public domain materials
Licensed content (with appropriate license compliance)
APIs or services from third parties

MastiffMode either owns the rights to use these materials or has obtained appropriate licenses. Attribution is provided where required.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

7.1 Unauthorized Reproduction

Copy or photocopy MastiffMode curriculum materials
Screenshot lessons for redistribution
Download modules en masse for offline sharing
Reproduce assessment questions or answers

7.2 Unauthorized Derivative Works

Create revised versions of MastiffMode lessons
Translate or adapt curriculum materials
Repackage or rebrand MastiffMode content
Create unauthorized "study guides" based on curriculum

7.3 Unauthorized Distribution

Share MastiffMode Academy access with others
Redistribute curriculum materials online or offline
Post lessons to social media or forums
Publish MastiffMode content on websites or platforms
Permit others to access your account to access curriculum

7.4 Competitive Use

Use MastiffMode curriculum to build competing trading-education platforms
Train AI systems using MastiffMode curriculum without authorization
Benchmark or analyze MastiffMode content for competitive purposes
Incorporate MastiffMode lesson structure into competing products

7.5 Reverse Engineering and Extraction

Reverse engineer or decompile MastiffMode software
Scrape or automatically extract curriculum content
Use bots or scripts to bulk-download materials
Circumvent access controls or technical restrictions
Extract MastiffMode's database schemas or algorithms

7.6 Attribution Removal

Remove MastiffMode copyright notices
Remove creator or source attribution
Falsely attribute MastiffMode content to yourself or others
Alter or obscure MastiffMode branding on materials

8. Copyright Notices

The following copyright notice applies to all MastiffMode materials:

"This material is the copyrighted property of MastiffMode LLC and is protected by U.S. and international copyright law. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or use is prohibited."

9. DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act)

9.1 Copyright Infringement Claims

If you believe MastiffMode has infringed your copyright, please contact:

Description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
Location of the infringing material
Your contact information
Statement that you believe the use is not authorized

9.2 Circumvention of Technical Protections

Under the DMCA, you may not circumvent technical measures protecting MastiffMode materials, even for personal or educational use. This includes:

Bypassing password protections
Removing digital rights management (DRM)
Decrypting encrypted content
Disabling access controls

10. Trademark Usage

10.1 Permitted Use

You may use the MastiffMode trademark in limited contexts:

Reference to the MastiffMode platform in personal communications
Reference in educational or journalistic content (with appropriate attribution)
Hyperlinks to MastiffMode (with MastiffMode attribution)

10.2 Prohibited Use

You may not:

Register domain names confusingly similar to MastiffMode
Use MastiffMode marks in your business name or product name
Modify MastiffMode marks or logos
Create materials suggesting MastiffMode endorsement without authorization

11. License Compliance

11.1 Open Source

MastiffMode uses certain open-source software components subject to open-source licenses (e.g., MIT, Apache 2.0, GPL). MastiffMode complies with all applicable open-source license requirements.

11.2 Third-Party Licenses

MastiffMode includes content or functionality from third parties used under license or with appropriate permissions. These do not change MastiffMode's ownership of the overall platform.

12. Enforcement and Remedies

12.1 Intellectual Property Enforcement

MastiffMode vigorously enforces its intellectual property rights. Unauthorized use may result in:

Cease and desist notices
Account termination
Civil litigation
Damages and attorney's fees
Injunctive relief

12.2 Your Remedy for Infringement

If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed:

Provide specific information about the alleged infringement
MastiffMode will investigate and respond

13. Credential Usage

13.1 Educational Credentials

Upon completing MastiffMode Academy levels, you may receive:

Digital badges recognizing completion
Certificate of completion PDFs
Acknowledgment in your profile

These credentials indicate that you completed MastiffMode curriculum, not that you are:

A licensed or credentialed trader
Qualified to manage others' money
A professional trader
Guaranteed to be profitable

13.2 Credential Attribution

If you display MastiffMode credentials:

You must attribute them accurately to "MastiffMode Academy"
You may not claim they are professional licenses or credentials
You may not suggest they guarantee trading skill or success
You must comply with any credential-display guidelines we provide

14. AI Training and Data

14.1 MastiffMode Content and AI

MastiffMode curriculum materials, software, and branding are protected intellectual property. Do not:

Use MastiffMode materials to train AI models
Fine-tune language models on MastiffMode curriculum
Use MastiffMode curriculum as training data without authorization
Claim that your AI system learned from MastiffMode

Special provision: If you have a valid business partnership or licensing agreement with MastiffMode, different terms may apply.

14.2 Your Data and AI

User-created trading records and journal entries are your property. MastiffMode may:

Use anonymized, aggregated analytics for product improvement
Use anonymized data for research (with appropriate privacy protections)
Not use identified personal data to train external AI models without consent

15. Modifications and Updates

MastiffMode may update, revise, or replace curriculum content, software, or services at any time. Updates may:

Change how features work
Alter curriculum content
Introduce new features or remove old ones
Update design or interface

You accept these changes as a condition of continued use.

16. Governing Law

These intellectual property provisions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Claims for copyright or trademark infringement shall be governed by U.S. federal law.
